The original Ambrosia salad! this recipe is a simple mixture of fruit, crunchy pecans, and delicate coconut flakes. No fluff or marshmallows!
- 2 oranges - 28 ounce can of sliced cling peaches with the syrup - sweetened coconut flakes - maraschino cherry halves drained - chopped pecans
– Peel, segment and cut the oranges into bite-sized pieces. These should be small enough to eat from a fork!
1. Add the oranges and the can of cling peaches, with the syrup to a serving bowl. 2. Stir to combine. 3. Chill for 1 hour.
When you are ready to serve, add the maraschino cherries, and garnish with the pecans and a sprinkle of the coconut.
Present this in an elegant Christmas serving bowl or other cherished heirloom. Serve this chilled in individual portions in small bowls.
